Medium-weight #4 yarn in 2 colors

US 7 (4.5 mm) straight knitting needles

Scissors

Tape measure

Stitch gauge

Yarn needle, for weaving in ends

US 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hook (or smaller), for fringe or fixing mistakes
