Materials
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Artwork you’ll be framing (Hilary is framing an 8 ½” x 11” screen print)
- Two pieces of matboard (Hilary uses 11” x 14” matboards to mat and back her artwork)
- Frame to fit the size of your matboard
- Mat cutter (Hilary uses a Logan Compact Mat Cutter; if you’re framing a standard size piece of work, precut mats can be purchased)
- Ruler
- Acid-free photo mounting squares
- Framing hardware (hooks for hanging)
- Framing wire
- X-Acto blade or craft knife
- Pencil
- Screwdriver
- Double-sided tape
- Paper towels and glass cleaner
- Electronic cleaner (can of compressed air)
- Roll of craft paper
