Taught by Courtney Cerruti
Learn how to take a single geometric motif and create a suite of party projects, playing with scale and color to create decorations with big impact. You can use the motif as a stencil to paint everything from a large design on a tablecloth to a small design on a planter, or you can play with quantity by stringing together dozens of paper cutouts for a photo-booth backdrop. Courtney also presents ideas for using the leftover cutouts for party favors, like a pillow box container with a decorative trim. To cut out the pieces for all of these projects, you can use a cutting machine like Cricut Explore™ to speed up the process, or you can cut out the paper and stencils by hand with an X-acto knife and cutting mat—the choice is up to you! The end result is a cohesive collection of projects that will add a glamorous touch to your next party.
