Materials
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Finished needlepoint (either a “found” piece or one you’ve made from scratch)
- Approx. 1 yard chambray or linen for back, sides and bottom of back (amount is determined by size of needlepoint front of bag)
- Approx. 1 yard cotton fabric for lining
- Sewing machine
- Coordinating thread
- Rotary cutter
- Cutting mat
- Long grid ruler
- Scissors
- Iron and ironing board
- Sewing needle
- Straight pins
- Iron and ironing surface
- Plush towel for ironing
- Decorative accessories such as pompoms
- Optional (not shown): interfacing
- Note that if you need to block your needlepoint, you will also need: Spray bottle filled with water, T-pins, and blocking surface
