Here’s what you’ll need:
  • Finished needlepoint (either a “found” piece or one you’ve made from scratch)
  • Approx. 1 yard chambray or linen for back, sides and bottom of back (amount is determined by size of needlepoint front of bag)
  • Approx. 1 yard cotton fabric for lining
  • Sewing machine
  • Coordinating thread
  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting mat
  • Long grid ruler
  • Scissors
  • Iron and ironing board
  • Sewing needle
  • Straight pins
  • Iron and ironing surface
  • Plush towel for ironing
  • Decorative accessories such as pompoms
  • Optional (not shown): interfacing
  • Note that if you need to block your needlepoint, you will also need: Spray bottle filled with water, T-pins, and blocking surface
