This coat can be made in two lengths and in a variety of fabric weights for all seasons. Materials
Here’s what you’ll need:
Pattern: Simplicity Pattern 8262 Leanne Marshall Coat or Jacket for Simplicity 
Outer coat fabric: suitable fabrics are Denim, Lightweight Wools or Wool blends, Linen types, Medium weight Poplin or Sateen. Fabric should be purchased in the yardage amount that corresponds with the size you are sewing and the width of chosen fabric (e.g. Size 10 needs 4 ½ yards of 60” wide fabric). See pattern envelope to determine size and yardage.
Lining fabric: 45” wide and in the yardage amount that corresponds with the size that you are sewing
Interfacing: 2 7/8 yards of 20” to 22” wide medium or lightweight fusible interfacing (weight of interfacing should be appropriate to the weight of the fabric purchased for the coat; e.g. a lighter weight fabric will use a lightweight interfacing)
Closures: Four medium size purchased toggles and one medium sew on snap.
