Melanie Schow is a Jill of many trades. As an accomplished wire and bead sculpture and jewelry artist in southern California, she will introduce you to the use of wonderful materials so you can begin a creative adventure of your own. Her own journey to art of jewelry making began by taking a wire class at a local bead store with a friend. Her friend finished the class and went home, but Melanie was hooked. She took another class, and another, and ultimately made the transition from student to teacher.
Melanie has taught a full range of classes from the basics of wire work to advanced technique classes for The Orange County Bead Society, Pasadena Bead Company, San Gabriel Bead Company, Creative Castle and the Canyon Country Fiber Guild. Melanie also teaches a business class to aspiring jewelry artists sharing many of the skills she has developed from her depth of business experience.
You’ll soon find Melanie on her ranch in Colorado adding farming to her list of many trades.
