Faith Hale Oakland, California

Happily serving as a Jane-of-all-trades, Faith is a contributing editor and instructor at Creativebug. She brings with her a myriad of experience in professional making, and on any given day, you can find Faith hosting Facebook Live shoots, planning classes, and answering questions in our class forums. She is also our resident cheerleader and frequently keeps the Creativebug staff happy with homemade baked goods.  A hand-craft professional since 2006, Faith was co-editor of knit.1 magazine and created designs for Vogue Knitting and Knit Simple magazines. She has also contributed original patterns to many knitting books, including 60 Quick Baby Knits, Knit Local: Celebrating America’s Homegrown Yarns, and Go Crafty! Knit Afghans. In addition, she’s been a studio manager at a yarn factory, an apprentice to a fine-binder, an artist assistant, and has taught workshops on knitting, book binding and printmaking. She moved from the East Coast to the Bay Area to get an MFA in Book Art and Creative Writing at Mills College and is thrilled to have found a post-graduate home at Creativebug. She lives with her partner in Oakland where they spend their free time making art, exploring tiny towns, and rearranging the furniture.
